The Transitional Housing Assistance program’s primary focus is moving families from homelessness to self-sufficiency within six to twelve months.  We are not an emergency shelter. Our facilities will consist of a 250-unit apartment community in the State of Maryland. Our service offering will increase as the program expands throughout the years.

The issue of homelessness for families has become even more pressing recently in light of the severe economic downturn and the ensuing loss of jobs.  Recent economic turmoil will assuredly lead to more families becoming homeless, testing already strained resources for homeless families.

Homelessness is a devastating experience for families.  It disrupts virtually every aspect of family life, damaging the physical and emotional health of family members, interfering with children’s education and development, and frequently resulting in the separation of family members.

We are in the process of developing our Transitional Housing program.  As resources and volunteers become more available, we will implement our program in the near future.  Check back with us for additional updates.
